Free Linux Foundation Courses through edX

Post by Michael_AU » Thu Jul 21, 2016 1:42 pm

The Linux Foundation, which is the group that promotes Linux and oversees its development, has partnered with edX, which is an online learning facility, to offer courses that would be of interested to Linux users as well as Linux professionals.
The Linux Foundation edX page is here https://www.edx.org/school/linuxfoundationx

For new Linux users and even old Linux users who would like a refresher the course Introduction to Linux (LFX101 https://www.edx.org/course/introduction ... -lfs101x-0) is a worthwhile course to study. It is provided for free (yes that's right it doesn't cost money to do) if you are happy with what is called an "Audit". If you want a Verified Certificate you can pay US$99 and receive a certificate for your efforts. You can post your certificates on your LinkedIn profile if you wish.

If you are interested in any of the courses the Linux Foundation provides through edX the best place to keep up to date with what is being offered is here https://www.edx.org/school/linuxfoundationx
